Praise God! I got a B on my last CS MIDTERM! I can join the "Almost Average Club!" Because I was a couple points off the mean on my CS midterm and on my Physics midterm. Join me my fellow almost-average friends! Together, we shall RULE THE WORLD! HOORAY FOR US!

Don't you hate it when people don't respond to your e-mails? (ahem, ahem) ... then you don't know if they've read them or not ... especially when you ask them questions. boooooo booooooo. :-)

Anyway, I've discovered that I have a strange habit. I like taking off my watch and then smelling my wrist. Hmmmm.

Life is precious. Treat every moment as a gift from God and use it accordingly.

I've discovered that I take life for granted. Too often I forget to wake up and be grateful that I'm alive. My mom just told me of a former ccs-er passing away. He had just graduated from ccs in 1998. That really struck me. God can take as away at any moment. We need to make the most of each day and each moment God has given us.

I've just been thinking about a life of purpose. I really should buy that "Purpose-driven Life" book. I wish I went to the simulcast ... booo for homework. Here are just a few of my personal, unprofessional thoughts on living a life of purpose. Perhaps they shall change once I take the purpose-filled life sunday school class in the spring.

I think that too often I have my priorities wrong. Sometimes I can't help feeling that the only reason why I'm here on Earth is to live and die, and have fun along the way. Yet the Bible often reminds me that there is more to this life than just living and dying; there's more to this life than just trying to make it through the night. God has made us who we are and have placed us where we are for a purpose. I mean, this concept is not hard to grasp or understand. In fact, it makes a lot of sense. God would not place us in this world to just live and die. That would be pointless. The hard part is finding out God's purpose for our lives. Once we discover that purpose, however, that purpose should be the driving force behind our lives. Our desire to achieve and carry out God's plan and purpose for our lives should be the reason we wake up each morning. It should affect how we live. It should affect us personally inwardly and outwardly. This reminds me of a quote that I posted in my blog. "The purpose of life is a life of purpose." That is so true.

Lord, help me to find out your purpose for my life. Help me to live my life to achieve and accomplish Your plans for me. Lord, use me in any way You see fit. Please get me to the point in my life where I can truly say, "Not my will, but Thine be done."

Life Goes On

Oh
Life goes on
And it's only gonna make me strong
It's a fact
Once you get on board
Say goodbye 'cuz you can't go back ...

"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it
goes on." - Robert Frost

No matter what happens in life, life goes on. Remember this verse. "This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Full speed ahead.
