Today I went shopping ... I've discovered that I'm a pretty good shopper. I got a pair of pants that is normally $45 for $16.50! Woo-HOO! Go ME! Who knew I was such a girl? (Please no sarcastic comments to that statement ...) Yeah, my sister already thinks I'm a girl. "Ewwww! You keep a diary?" "IT'S NOT A DIARY! IT'S A BLOG PAGE! GET THAT INTO YOUR HEAD!" Heh heh ... until next time. -bj

To Stephen: If you were a country you'd be Switzerland You never take a stand; your policy is Never to offend If you were a gambler you would Always win You'd only bet on the horses after they had Already come in And I'm sorry if I'm getting on your case But true friends Stab you in the face 'Cuz you were meant to live large C'mon take charge Let's go light the world up Let's not wait until the end To be the things we wish we'd been You were meant to live large C'mon let's fly You're a super-trouper spotlight We're gonna count on the count of three Here it comes now 1, 2, 3 GO! -bj
Hey all you blogger readers out there! Got nothing better to do than to pry into my life? SICKOS!!! Do you dare step into my world? I must warn you, once you step in there is NO TURNING BACK!!! HAHAHA! You know what I discovered is a pet peeve of mine? Oblivious, slow moving people. You know, those kind of big people that carry on conversations with one another while taking up the entire sidewalk? I hate that! "So, you know that boy that I thought was cute?" "John?" "Yeah. I talked to him today!" "You didn't!" (ahem) "I did!" (exscuse me, please) "Are you serious? He's like SO HOT! He's like hot with two t's! HOTT!" (MOVE OUT OF MY WAY YOU STUPID LOSERS!) Anyway, I"ve discovered the perfect solution for these inconsiderate loserheads. Tailgaiting. Heh heh. You walk really close behind them and breathe down their backs so they know you're there. Then you could "accidentaly" give them a "shoe flat tire". Heh heh. And if that doesn't work, you can always pretend you're insane by making obscene noises. :-) -bj
Today as I was learning about famous physicists, I noticed that my GSI used an odd convention while naming years. He'd write, for example, 600 B.C.E, or 600 Before the Common Era. I just found this very disturbing. I mean, we have already taken prayer out of public schools. People have already tried taking out the "under God" from the flag salutes. And there are still those that want to change our nation's motto of "In God We Trust". Hmmm ... sad. God should be in every aspect in the governing of our nation, for it was founded on Biblical principles. God, have mercy on us ... Lord, please bless America, and help her turn back to You. -bj
On Friendship Friends are perhaps one of the greatest gifts God has given to us. The ability to love and be loved in return - that is really powerful. Sometimes a simple pat on the back, or just an open ear is all someone needs to turn their bad day into a not so bad one. I'm learning to appreciate more and more each day the friends that I have - the ones that are here with me at Berkeley, and the ones that I will miss as they go off for college. Keep in touch!

Wow, the novelty still hasn't worn off yet ... 2 blogs in one day! Amazing! Do you know what's the worst lie a teacher can tell his students? "There's no such thing as a stupid question." Students actually take that literally. ARGH! Some people should just keep their mouths shut, but mebbe that's just me ... -bj
Wow, my first blog entry ... Now I'm cool like all you bloggers out there! WOO HOO! (Actually, I was cool before I got a blog page, in case you're wondering.) Bryan's Vocab word for the day: k-winki-dinkle (adj. def: as if happening by chance; kinda like ironic. ex: Isn't it kwinkidinkle that everyone cool in the world is named Bryan?) Quote of the day: "An unexamined life is not worth living; an unlived life is not worth examining." (Socrates) Thoughts from a future Berkeley dropout: I've learned that life is about compromise. Living with two ... uhhh ... "interesting" roommates has taught me that. Without compromise, you'd be stuck listening to one roommate belting out Madonna's "Like a Virgin" (complete with the suggestive "ohhhh"s and "ummmmmmp"s) while the other is trying to sing (emphasize trying) "One Day More" from Les Mis. And they both are singing at the same time!!! (*sigh*) Compromise. You can sing "Like a Virgin" and when you're done, I'll sing "One Day More." Or better yet, don't sing at all. :-) I've discovered that I can make myself laugh by tickling my own feet! Thoughts from a future Berkeley alumni: Wow, I feel so mature! I'm doing my homework ahead of time, and I'm actually reading the book! I'm even getting better at physics and programming! Programming is still hard. A bit of advice: don't think that you're a hotshot just because you took a couple of programming classes at Chabot. CS61A is a pain in the butt ... Final thoughts for the day: Yesterday was September 11th. I don't think that I will ever really be able to comprehend what happened that day. The events of that day will remain in my memory forever, yet they seem to have taken place so long ago. In one sense, though, I'm a little grateful for what happened that day. It was a less-than-gentle reminder from God that our lives are precious and that God can take us home anytime He wants. It's also a great reminder that America needs a revival; America needs to turn back to God. The sense of unity and repentance in the weeks following the attack, albeit shortlived, were very encouraging. Let's pray for a revival in America, but let's remember that the change has to first start in each and everyone of our own lives. Take care y'all! -bj
